Legend says the first Christmas Tree was created by Martin Luther. Walking in the forest one Christmas Eve, he was inspired by snow-covered trees reflecting moonlight and twinkling stars showing through their branches. So, he cut a small fir tree, took it home and decorated it simply with candles for his children.
